2020 has become a year when the world was completely stopped by COVID-19, and as of 2022, there is still no end in sight. Due to the pandemic situation that humanity has never experienced, the world has suffered great damage. Major developed countries were no exception. Rather, the U.S., the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, and other advanced European countries suffered tremendous damage, which resulted in a huge impact on the global economy.

In the 21st century, humans are facing the danger of global environmental change. It is the result of the destruction of the natural environment caused by rapid industrial development from the 19th to 20th centuries. Scientists and conservationists around the world are warning that if the Earth's environment is no longer left as it is, it will soon be catastrophic.

Among them, global warming caused by fossil fuels, which humans have used as energy sources for a long time, is the biggest environmental change. The damage caused by global warming is increasing every year. Climate change, which occurs as global temperatures rise, is approaching a huge catastrophe that humans have never even imagined.

The hurricanes and floods that struck China, Japan, and Korea last year are typical examples, and these natural damages are expected to increase year by year. Various livestock infectious diseases such as seawater, rivers, lakes, red tides, bird flu, and swine fever caused by rapid sea temperature rise are also caused by global environmental changes. Many scientists believe that COVID-19, which plunged the world into a pandemic last year, is also the result of global environmental changes.

Plastic and plastic that humans use indiscriminately and throw away are also major causes of environmental destruction. Trash islands, which are larger than Seoul floating in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, are often the focus of global news. It is said that it takes decades to remove this trash island. Also, the microplastics that fall off this garbage dump are ingested by fish and returned to humans.

We've heard some of the examples above, but the protection and healing of the global environment is the most urgent task given to mankind in this era. This is also the reason why our company, Riba Company, was born.
