Red illite

Andong Redillite is a natural mineral mineral mineral that is widely buried in Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The red mica is mainly distributed in the intersection of the granite belt, which was created as a result of volcanic activity in the primitive age (2.5 billion to 570 million years ago), and the silica belt, which was created in the Paleozoic age (580 million to 225 million years ago). The Andong Red mica deposit is one of the hydrothermal deposits created by the precipitation of useful minerals contained in the magma as the heat water released from the magma rises.


During the formation of hydrothermal deposits, hydrothermal changes in the various components of rocks contained in the water solution are characterized by silicification, rusty petrification, carbonate, acinarization, and clayization, among which the acinar mica effect is believed to be the most dominant, forming the Andong acinar mica.


Andong Red Mica is buried in various forms, ranging from soft rock formations to hard rock formations beyond marble. It is considered a very rare mineral because there are few domestic resources of the same mineral, and it is only buried in a few countries worldwide, such as the United States, Italy, and Turkey.
